OUR ROOTS

Cloud Nine is the Brainchild of Professional Hairdresser and Pioneer Robert Powls. Having previously founded GHD, Powls established Cloud Nine in 2009. He set out to create a new hairstyling brand that would become the epitome of luxury and innovation. With this philosophy, Cloud Nine has grown rapidly to become one of the most sought-after hairdressing brands, with an elite following. The winner of numerous awards for excellence, Cloud Nine represents the highest quality premium hair tools available on the market today.

Cloud Nine has been revolutionising the face of modern hair since 2009, when we first launched the Cloud Nine temperature control Irons. They represented a new breed of hair straightener that offered less heat for kinder styling. Available with either wide or original plates, the irons were developed to control and style the thickest and unruliest hair types, at kinder temperatures.

In 2010 the innovative ‘O‘ was introduced - a unique and speedy alternative to traditional hot roller sets. The unique induction technology heats the O Rollers in less than four seconds, allowing for the creation of fabulous volume in mere minutes.

2012 saw the birth of the Original Wand, it’s tapered and super smooth barrel makes it the ultimate tool for creating a variety of wave and curl styles. Following closely on its heels was the Waving Wand with its long, straight barrel, which makes it the perfect tool for creating loose waves and smooth curls.

In 2013 our most revolutionary Iron to date was born. Featuring instant heat up technology and a buttonless design it is the fastest Iron available today. On the back of The Touch Irons success, we launched a limited edition White Touch in 2015.

In 2016 we launched The Airshot Hairdryer and Diffuser, the perfect additions to your cloud nine collection for perfect prep.

In May 2017 the Touch Iron made a return in an extra glamorous White Gloss edition. What’s more £10 from every sale went to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity.
